A Bevy of Father’s Day Cards

Hi! Happy Stamping Father’s Day! Today I have several Father’s day cards to display. All cards use a combination of DSP, stamping, piecing, and blending. Let’s get right to it…

This first card I created for my husband. This Father’s Day is extra special to my family. My husband, slightly less than two weeks ago had a very gut wrenching medical emergency. He had a retina detachment in his left eye. Within a seven hour time period he completely lost his vision. The Retina Specialists, we had two surgeons, who worked to reattach the retina using microscopes and lasers. Since then, my husband has faithfully laid on his right side in hopes of regaining his sight. He is slowly regaining some vision, however, it will be 3-6 months before we know the extent of his vision recovery.

I saw a version of this card demonstrated on Stamptastic Designs U-tube channel. Lynn had used the Gone Fishing Suite, I used the Wildlife Wonder stamp set, #157923, Earthen Elegance DSP, #161503, and Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder, #161545. This card is quick and easy to assemble for stampers on the run.

My next set of cards uses the Gone Fishing DSP, #161534, Earthen Elegance DSP, #161502, and the On the Ocean Stamp set, #160772 with coordinating dies, #160774, and the Gone Fishing Stamp Set, #161535. All can be found in the current annual catalog.

I used a variety of cropping, stamping, and blending with blending brushes, and fussy cutting on these cards. The On the Ocean stamp set is actually more versatile than I thought is would be and it’s fun to play with. I love the gone fishing set. I don’t have the dies yet, so I had to fussy cut. I love the accordian fold card. It looks complicated, but it is very easy to make.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards! Happy Stamping everyone! Donna 🙂

Father’s Day 6-Sided Pinwheel Card

Happy Father’s Day! I missed my Saturday post of this card. I spent three hours baking in the morning for a Saturday BBQ and a church all bacon themed Father’s Day event. First time making salted caramel bacon brownies and double fudge pecan bacon brownies. They were a hit though…who knew! Back to the card.

I found the tutorial for this card by Debbie Henderson, on the Splitcoast Stampers website. Of course, I had to make it! This was a super fun card to make. I recommend if you are mailing this card do not put any embellishments on it that stick up. This is a thick card in the envelope. I did add embellishments to mine since I wasn’t mailing it. My Husband thought it was a cute, clever card.

This card is fun and easy to make. I used all Stampin’ Up! products on the card. The DSP is retired from the True Gentleman collection, along with the Tailored Tag Punch from the same suite.

Supply List: Others retired items include the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Pad
