Lattice Fold Birthday Card

I made this cute card for my neice’s birthday. This is the lattice fold technique. It looks difficult, but it’s actually not so hard to make. I used the new Stampin’ Up! Countryside Inn Suite and the new Moody Mauve In-Color as the anchors for this card.

I watched a u-tube video by Sam Calcott to learn how to make the lattice. It’s a bit time consuming when you first begin, but once you get it down it goes quickly.

Moody Mauve is one of the new Stampin’ Up! In-Colors. I LOVE all five colors! They are sutble and earthly, so my style. The Countryside Inn Suite is also a new suite from the latest annual catalog. The DSP in this suite is stunning! Beginning 1 June, most of the the lastest DSPs in the catty and the online exclusive Hello, Irresistible DSP will go on sale at 15% off. It’s a great time to stock up and same. Check out my blog on 1 June to get the June Host Code. Use the Host Code when placing orders through my Stampin’ Up! Website on orders between $50-149.

Tri-Shutter Birthday Card

I love, love the tri-shutter fun fold. This fun fold technique it a bit more challenging to do, but the final result is always breath taking. I made this card for a very dear, close friend for her birthday. Green is her favorite color so of course, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen were the first colors I thought of. Both of these colors are part of the 2021-2023 In-Colors. I will be so sad when they are replaced by the 2023-2025 In-Colors; get yours before they are gone! I really hope whenever Stampin’ Up! does a color revamp that these two greens are included into the Stampin’ Up! color family.

The base of this card uses a 12 inch by 5 1/2 inch piece of basic white cardstock. I used Evening Evergreen as the layer base for the Ever Eden DSP (retired) and the sentiments. Soft Succulent paper was used for my die cut layers and some of the stamped images. I went a little crazy with the DSP and used it on the reverse side of the card too. I used the retired Stitched So Sweetly dies and the Lasting Label punch, #158651, $19.00, AC p. 152. The stamp sentiments and leave accents are from the Framed Florets, #161815, $23.00, Jan-Apr MC, p. 65; Eden’s Garden, #157823, $23.00, AC p. 59; Happy & Heartfelt, #158005, Retired 30 Jun 2022; and Flowing Flowers, #157880, Retired 30 Jun 2022.

Father’s Day 6-Sided Pinwheel Card

Happy Father’s Day! I missed my Saturday post of this card. I spent three hours baking in the morning for a Saturday BBQ and a church all bacon themed Father’s Day event. First time making salted caramel bacon brownies and double fudge pecan bacon brownies. They were a hit though…who knew! Back to the card.

I found the tutorial for this card by Debbie Henderson, on the Splitcoast Stampers website. Of course, I had to make it! This was a super fun card to make. I recommend if you are mailing this card do not put any embellishments on it that stick up. This is a thick card in the envelope. I did add embellishments to mine since I wasn’t mailing it. My Husband thought it was a cute, clever card.

This card is fun and easy to make. I used all Stampin’ Up! products on the card. The DSP is retired from the True Gentleman collection, along with the Tailored Tag Punch from the same suite.

Birthday Cascading Gatefold Card

My sister recently had a birthday. I wanted to make an unusual card for her special day. I found the perfect card and template on the Mixed Up Craft blog. Of course, I had to CASE the example. This was a time consuming card to make and the instructions were a bit confusing. In the end, I created a beautiful card that conveyed my feelings for my sis. She absolutely loved it!

The card measures a whopping 5″ x 7″ x 1/4″. This card was huge! I sent it to her in an 8×10 mailer. I loved the idea of the cascading gatefold card, although it is simply too big in most circumstances. I redesigned the card measurements so that it would fit neatly into a standard Stampin’ Up! medium envelope. Here is a sneek peak of the smaller 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card:

I’ll be posting the interior view of this card along with measurement templates after Father’s Day. Stay tuned tomorrow for my Father’s Day six-sided pinwheel card. It is so cute, you will love it!
